Shortlists for the 2023 Photography and Moving Image Book Awards have been announced

The Foundation is delighted to announce the shortlists for the 38th edition of the prize. The twenty books in the running for the 2023 Photography and Moving Image Book Awards address themes including sleep, grief, identity, race, community, and the environment.

Sir Brian Pomeroy CBE, Chair of the Kraszna-Krausz Foundation, says of this year’s shortlists, “We’re delighted to be able to announce a shortlist of such outstanding and inspiring works, maintaining our Foundation’s long history of celebrating the highest standard of books on photography and the moving image.”

Following the shortlist announcement, the winner of each category, sharing a £10,000 prize fund, will be announced in June 2023. Events celebrating the 2023 awards and the winners will take place this autumn.

The longlisted titles were showcased at Photo London in the publishing section from 11-14 May.
